Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

The Florian Gardens, Eau Claire’s premiere wedding and event center, is seeking an
experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to monitor and maintain the finances of our
growing company along with providing administrative and clerical support to our sales and
operations staff.

Bookkeeper Role Summary
This job would entail, on a daily basis, recording all financial transactions, including all payments
into the correct general ledger and verifying that they are accurate. You will also be responsible
for maintaining all financial records, completing required tax forms, processing payroll and
performing additional daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate should have previous
experience as a bookkeeper for at least two years.

Administrative Assistant Role Summary
As guests arrive you would greet them, and direct them to the appropriate staff member. You
would support the staff with clerical duties including answering phones and transferring calls to
the appropriate personnel. Other duties would include organizing files, making copies, assisting
sales and operations staff along with a variety of office tasks. We prefer candidates that are
tech-forward and have some administrative support experience, but are willing to train the right
person.

Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities
● Track, process and document various transactions for multiple accounts on a daily,
weekly and monthly basis
● Maintain accurate financial records and balance general ledger
● Process accounts receivable and payable
● Process payroll and payroll taxes
● Bank account management and reconciliation
● Complete required tax forms for State, Federal and Sales Tax
● Communicate occasionally with outside primary accounting firm

Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
● Welcome and greet clients and office guests
● Support office Sales staff and Operations staff
● Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate persons or take
detailed messages
● Sort and distribute mail, prepare outgoing mail and packages
● Help prepare presentation material
● Monitor and maintain office equipment and supplies
● Ensure office is kept clean and organized at all times
● Become proficient with in-house computerized booking system (ReServe)
● Familiarize with Asana task management system. Preferred but not required.
● Flexibility to handle a variety of office tasks
● Ability to work well with a close team environment

Bookkeeper Requirements and Qualifications
● High organizational skills, time management and analytical skills
● Proficiency in general accounting practices and bookkeeping
● Competent with PeachTree accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
● Associates Degree in accounting or business administration
● At least 2 years of bookkeeper experience

Bookkeeper Preferred Qualifications
● Prior bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment
● Self motivated with attention to detail and accuracy of work
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with staff and customers
● Contributes to teamwork success through collaboration

Administrative Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
● High School diploma or GED certificate
● 1+ years of experience as an administrative assistant is a plus
● Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
with aptitude to learn new software and systems
● Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
● High degree of attention to detail along with strong verbal and written communication skills
● Self-starter along with the desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others



Status: Hourly, Monday-Friday 9a-5p
This position could be Full Time or Part Time depending on the candidate
