The Florian Gardens Conference Center is located in close proximity to I-94. Is the interstate noise a problem during outdoor wedding ceremonies?Typically it is not an issue, and we do include a sound system with the garden rental fee. Our gardens are surrounded by earth berms covered with foliage and trees, creating an amphitheater that blocks the vast majority of the highway noise. Feel free to stop by and hear for yourself!

What is included with the ballroom rental?The ballroom rental includes tables set for eight guests, standard comfort-cushion chairs, tablecloths and napkins (in Black, White, or Ivory), china place settings, glassware, flatware, a skirted guestbook table, head table, dessert table, gift table, dj table, coffee table, and set-up and tear-down of all of the above. Ballrooms are available at 10 AM the day of the wedding for decorating with standard access ending at 11pm. All receptions are given 1 hour after the reception end time for clearing anything they brought in (decor, signage, personal belongings, etc.).

Do you have more than one wedding at the same time?We do not have multiple ceremonies on the same day, but we may have multiple receptions happening at the same time, although it is uncommon. When you book all three ballrooms, your event becomes a private function utilizing the entire facility.

Can I hire my own vendors?The Florian Gardens Conference Center will provide the food and beverages for your wedding. You are welcome to contract any other professional vendors directly. The Florian Gardens has a listing of our preferred vendors for you to choose from, or you are welcome to contract your own.

When are payments due?A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. If you have reserved a ceremony and reception we require the full garden rental plus tax and 50% of the ballroom rental upon booking. For a Reception only celebration, we require 75% of the full ballroom rental. The first deposit secures your date. Second deposits are either $500 or $1,500 depending on the number of rooms you have rented. Final payment is required at the time you give your final guest count, 10 days before the wedding.

Do we need an appointment to view the property?The Florian Gardens Conference Center hosts many different private events seven days a week; because of this, appointments are strongly recommended.

What is a food and beverage minimum, and is it required?This is an excellent question to ask all venues on your search for the perfect spot to say, “I do!” A food and beverage minimum is a budgeting tool of what you will spend on your food and beverages for your wedding. Everything from the hors d’oeuvres, dinner, cash bar, hosted bar, punch, etc. goes toward that minimum. The majority of groups spend more than the minimum!

What happens if there’s inclement weather on the day of our outdoor ceremony?We understand how important your Garden Ceremony is, and we’ll always do our best to make it happen – even if that means adjusting your timeline slightly to wait out the weather. However, if the weather simply doesn’t cooperate, we’ve got you covered. Your ceremony rental includes the use of our beautiful Primrose Ballroom as a backup. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the space still offers a stunning and romantic setting for your vows. Plus, our experienced team will take care of the transition seamlessly, so you can focus on celebrating your big day.

Do you have guest count minimums?For midweek lunches, we require a minimum of 25 guests. For midweek dinners, we require a minimum of 30 guests. All weekend events and Holidays require a guest count of 50 or more guests.

What are your technical capabilities?The Florian Gardens is HDMI & VGA Compatible. iPad Users: Please provide a HDMI or a VGA conversion unit PowerPoint Users: Remote Controls are not provided (Rental item @ $15.00) We recommend bringing your PowerPoint on a jump drive for back-up On-site technical assistance is included in rental.
